The Cottages at the Old School, Houston are run by the Camerons and are located within the garden area of the Old School grounds.
The cottages are avaiable for long and short term lets making them an ideal place to stay for holidays, visiting family and friends and also as alternative accommodation when moving house.
The Old School itself was built in 1875 and operated as a school in the village until 1912 when it was converted into a community hall.
In 1970 the school building was then converted to a family dwelling, where the Camerons now reside.
Originally outbuildings of the school, the cottages have now been converted to provide self-catering accommodation.
There is plenty of off-street parking space available adjacent to each cottage.
The Scottish Tourist Board have inspected the cottages and have subsequently graded both cottages with Three Stars.
The staff have completed a 'Welcome Host' course in tourism.
